Editorial policy
Editorial standards.
Santage is committed to accuracy, independence and transparency. These standards govern every piece of content we publish.
What we stand for

Santage is the world's AI industry publication covering the companies, models, policy and markets driving the future of intelligence. We hold ourselves to the highest editorial standards because our readers depend on our accuracy to make consequential decisions.

Our editorial promise: Every factual claim is sourced. Every conflict is disclosed. Every error is corrected. Our commercial and editorial operations are strictly separated. We never trade favorable coverage for access, advertising or any other consideration.

Core editorial principles
Accuracy
All factual claims must be attributed to a named source, official document or verifiable data. We do not present speculation as fact. If information cannot be independently verified, we say so explicitly.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made solely by our editorial team. Advertisers, sponsors and partners have no influence over what we cover, how we cover it, or what we publish. Commercial and editorial operations are strictly separated.
Transparency
We disclose conflicts of interest. We clearly label sponsored content. We explain our editorial processes and byline system openly. Our team page, editorial standards and contact information are always publicly accessible.
Fairness
We give subjects of critical coverage the opportunity to respond before publication. We present multiple perspectives on contested issues. We do not engage in personal attacks or make unsubstantiated claims.
Accountability
Our writers are identified by byline. Our editorial leadership is publicly named. We accept and respond to reader feedback. We take responsibility for our mistakes.
How we source and verify information

All factual claims in Santage content must be attributed to at least one of the following: a named on-the-record source, an official company or government document, a peer-reviewed academic publication, verified public data (SEC filings, regulatory records, published benchmarks), or direct observation by a Santage reporter.

Press releases and company announcements are starting points for reporting, not endpoints. We add independent context, verification and analysis to all company claims before publication.

Anonymous sources

Anonymous sources are used only when the information is of significant public interest and cannot be obtained on the record. All anonymous sourcing requires approval from the Editor-in-Chief. We never use anonymity to allow sources to make personal attacks or unverifiable claims.

Data integrity

All data published by Santage, including company valuations, funding figures, benchmark scores and hiring statistics, cites primary sources. When data is estimated rather than confirmed, this is stated explicitly. All data products carry a "last updated" timestamp.

Headline and content standards

Santage headlines are declarative statements of fact. They must be accurate even when read in isolation. We do not use sensationalist, misleading or clickbait framing.

All content explains technical jargon on first use and links to our AI Glossary for readers who want more context. We assume our readers are intelligent professionals who may not be AI specialists.

We do not use exclamation marks in news coverage. We do not use "you won't believe" or similar constructions. We do not present opinion as news or speculation as fact.

Use of artificial intelligence

Santage uses AI tools to assist with research, drafting and data analysis. This reflects our belief that AI should be used transparently and responsibly, the same standard we hold the industry we cover to.

All AI-assisted content is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by human editors before publication. We do not publish fully AI-generated content without human editorial oversight. AI tools are assistants, not authors. Editorial responsibility always rests with a named human editor.

Content produced with AI assistance is published under the "Santage Staff" byline. Our byline system is explained in full on our team page.

Corrections policy

When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently.

A clear correction notice is added to the top of the article, stating what was wrong and what has been corrected. The original error is noted, not silently replaced. Significant corrections are noted in the next edition of our newsletter.

We do not delete published articles. If an article is found to be substantially inaccurate, we add a prominent correction and update rather than removing it.

To report an error, contact our editorial team at editorial@santageai.com.

Conflicts of interest

All Santage editorial staff must disclose any financial interest in companies or technologies they cover. This includes stock holdings, advisory roles, consulting relationships and immediate family connections.

Santage's advertising and sponsorship relationships are never permitted to influence editorial coverage. Advertisers cannot preview, approve or influence editorial content. We reserve the right to reject any advertising that conflicts with our editorial values.

Sponsored content is always clearly labelled with a "Sponsored by" tag and is visually distinct from editorial content. We never publish native advertising disguised as editorial coverage.

Advertising and sponsored content

Santage maintains a strict separation between editorial and commercial operations. Our advertising policy is simple: advertisers pay for clearly labelled placement, never for editorial influence.

All sponsored content is produced in partnership with the sponsor and carries a clear "Sponsored by [Company Name]" label. Sponsored content goes through editorial review for factual accuracy but the sponsor is responsible for claims made about their own products or services.
